During W.W. II the Germans were said to hate the Scottish Battalions.  They even had a name for the bagpies that were played as the men were sent to battle. They called the bagpipes the "Screaming Women."  The reason they hated the pipers was because they knew that the battalions would respond to the pipers and that their blood would be stirred to fight on with renewed vigor. 

Our goal with this website is for those of Scottish ancestry or even those who want to be adopted sons and daughters of Scotland, to hear the piper and feel elevated. They then can brush off the dust of each days struggle, and raise their swords, and battle for what is best for theirselves and their families. We are in a battle. There are those who would like to see us lose our liberty. These threats  are different for each of us.  Our hope is that by connecting to the great resilience, integrity and fighting spirit of those that have moved on, we too can live by the moto:

..."it is not for glory, riches or honor we fight but for liberty alone which no good man loses but with his life."  -The Declaration of Arbroath

In the end to meet the challenges we all face we all need
to become more Uncanny Scots!!!
